Those who are looking towards a peaceful getaway for some stress relief should consider taking a trip to the Tropical Lowlands of Bolivia, where the city of Santa Cruz has plenty of natural beauty and interesting sights for travelers to enjoy.

Santa Cruz, on the eastern side of the country, is considered a "department" and is the largest in Bolivia. It began as a poor section of the nation, however, the economy began to improve about five decades ago when roads were paved and new markets were introduced. Santa Cruz thrives these days and is an excellent tourist destination.

One can spend their day on the banks of El Rio Pirai, soaking up the natural splendor of the area before they make their way to Monseñor Rivero, where many locals enjoy spending their time after work hours. In the evening, those who are looking for some entertaining nightlife can head to the Equipetrol neighborhood.

Other attractions include La Plaza, where visitors can sit and enjoy the warm weather and fresh air, and Estadio Ramon Tahuichi Aguilera, an arena that hosts many of the city's best soccer matches.
