Enthusiast shows that the benefits of tai chi exercises can be felt anywhere in the world
The benefits of yoga and tai chi exercises are numerous, which is why so many Americans engage in the holistic mind-body regimen. Whether they prefer to practice the breathing exercises, stretches and poses in a studio or in the privacy of their own homes, enthusiasts agree that the Eastern program is ideal for energy healing therapy.
Over the years, the flexibility-enhancing techniques of yoga and tai chi have gained popularity with millions of Americans. The regimens are known to be welcoming to people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, and can be great alternatives to more rigorous activities for those who want to stay healthy without placing undue strain on their joints.
Recently, Dahn Yoga and Health Centers featured yoga practitioner Azita Samim in its Community Spotlight for the month of August. Samim, a registered nurse and yoga devotee, left the U.S. with her husband, who accepted a post at the American University of Dubai.
The move took her away from the Dahn Yoga centers that are found in many locations around the U.S., where she had attended classes on a regular basis.
Determined to keep yoga a major part of her life, Samim stayed in touch with her regional instructor through Skype. With her teacher's guidance, Samim began introducing family and new friends to the benefits of yoga, guiding new and seasoned practitioners through several sessions each week. In fact, the regimen helped her nephew overcome the numbness and pain he had been experiencing as a result of a benign tumor.
The beauty of yoga is that it can be practiced virtually anywhere. The program's flexibility certainly recommends it to the millions of enthusiasts who engage in its exercises wherever life takes them in the world.
