Dahn Yoga Energy
Wednesday, 26 October 2011
“Dahn” means “energy” and Dahn Yoga is principally concerned with developing balance and awareness of energy. Eventually, all practitioners can expect to experience the harmonious flow of energy and vibration of life. This sensation can be controlled by the conscious mind, since it is related to being in a state of deep relaxation from the lowering of brainwaves.
In the art of Dahn Yoga, energy flow can cause a sensation known as Jin-dong (vibration), in which the body begins to shake. This happens when blockages in the meridian system—the network of channels through which energy, or Ki (energy), flows—are cleared, much like the increase of pressure that occurs when a water faucet connected to a garden hose is turned on.
Significant improvements in health, life balance and peace of mind are expected to occur with increased flow of energy. Indeed, those who become more sensitive to energy can experience more beauty and selflessness in life.
