DAHN YOGA STORIES

By keepitreal | September 18, 2007

Just a quick little Dahn yoga story.

When I first started Dahn yoga, I had just moved to a new place, so I didn’t really know anyone, and hadn’t really made friends yet. After a couple of months I was still “friendless” and quite lonely. That second month of Dahn yoga, I took the workshop Initial Awakening, and we all sort of shared our story, and (unintentionally) I got a little emotional when I shared that the next day was my birthday, and I was still all alone in this new place, and was feeling down about it.

At the end of the 2nd day of the workshop, all the other members of the group surprised me with a beautiful cake and a card signed by everyone, with the big message in the center “You’re not alone, anymore. Happy birthday, from your “Dahn” friends”.

What a sweet surprise! These were exactly the people I was looking for. And they’ve been like family since!

That’s amazing! It’s really amazing how Dahn Yoga practices help people shed their external hard shells and come together just as the human family… :) I’m very happy for you!
